Sway Handcrafted Jacket - Onyx/Warm Coral

The Sway Jacket is cut in an onyx linen-cotton and then traced, edge to edge, in a warm coral blanket stitch. The stitch runs the full length of the shawl collar and front opening, around the curved hem, along the wide sleeve cuffs and around both curved patch pockets. Follow it and you have followed the entire pattern of the garment.

Against the flat black of the cloth, the coral reads as a drawn line rather than as embroidery, which is what gives the jacket its graphic quality.

It opens at the front with no button or tie. The sleeves are wide and three-quarter, flaring gently at the cuff, and the body falls to a curved hip-length hem with a patch pocket set on each side.

• Linen cotton blend, 50% linen and 50% cotton

• Wear it over an ivory top and ivory wide-leg trousers so the coral outline reads clean.
• Take it over an all-black base when you want only the stitch to show.
